Note to the Ron Paulians

This is why Republican's could never support your beloved candidate.

It is our duty still to endeavor to avoid war; but if it shall actually
take place, no matter by whom brought on, we must defend ourselves. If our house
be on fire, without inquiring whether it was fired from within or without, we
must try to extinguish it. -Thomas Jefferson

Again Proof, Thanks for your wonderful Quotes du Jour!

Well, since our mutual admiration society has come to order, tell us about that "nose art" of yours, "Victory Girl", I've been admiring. Is there a story behind it?
Certainly, you're too young to have posed for it yourself!

You started it with your regular pin up girl photos! I want to be a pin up girl so...voila...I found this photo and used it. Better than the statue of Cincinnatus, I guess. :) Really, it just came from a WWII bomber and it was one of my favorites.

it just came from a WWII bomber Yes. I've noticed that not a few of the warriors who fought for our freedom in the forties were politically incorrect enough to openly admire pretty girls!

Dear Lady: I discovered a site dedicated to nose art over at http://www.nose-art.net/index.html

Where I discovered, much to my surprise, that a lot of those ladies were uncovered from the waist up!

So, if you still want to be a pin up girl and have the dedication, I'll meet you with my camera!
Heh.

Hey, Proof, I'm trying to keep this site PG13 and you're not helping. :) But yes, that vintage nose art was extremely politically incorrect and very non-"metrosexual" of the flyboys. I think that's why I like them. :)
