My new favorite TV show. American Pickers I know this is my second heterosexual white guy to celebrate that I don't really know his politics, but I admit I have a bit of a crush. He likes dogs and junk. I could be wrong but I'm hoping Mike Wolfe of American Pickers isn't in the arugula-lettuce-and-soy-eating-man category.

Since he has crutches, most likely he was involved in some type of physical labor or activity. Anyway, I just liked him....I think it's the eyes.

LOS ANGELES — Actor and one-time Phoenix resident David Spade has donated
$100,000 to the Phoenix Police Department. The department will use the much
needed funds to buy high-powered rifles to defend the city from the growing
influence of Mexican drug cartels. Through his publicist, Spade explained that “these guys need to be able to do their jobs, and I am just happy I could help.” Spade says he got the idea for the donation after seeing a story on FOX News. Phoenix police say Spade called asking to donate to their rifle program after he saw that officers, outgunned and desperate for more firepower, wanted to buy their own semi-automatic rifles. Phoenix Police Sgt. Alan Hill says 50 AR-15 rifles to be purchased with the donation will be given to patrol officers. (H/T – FOXNews)

The Best Star Trek Anything, Ever and Probably The Best Movie You'll See This Summer

Star Trek rocked! I'm not even a big fan. Who knew Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy could be so hot and engaging? Which certainly earns Karl Urban a spot on this Celebrating the Heterosexual White Male blog post. As for a review, all I'll say is you don't get slammed over the head with a heavy mallet of action sequences, and your heart rate doesn't get squeezed into attack zone with too much intense intensity. It all fits the story and doesn't take it over...imagine that!! And characters!! How long has it been since I've seen a movie with characters...funny, engaging, quirky characters. I loved it. 4 stars.
