I named my blog after Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus -- A Roman consul who served only long enough to save his Republic before returning to his farm. Cincinnatus was the inspiration for the Order of Cincinnatus, to which George Washington and Lafayette and many other American Patriots were members. Omnia relinquit servare rempublicam - He relinquished everything to serve the Republic.

You Might Live In A Red State If...

This is what you see on your way home from work. Yes, looks like one of my neighbors is clearly not a Democrat.
But the best part...notice the crowd of donkeys around the second sign. Clearly a sign from God that He has a sense of humor. Heh. :D
If you look out to the right of the second picture, you will see what looks like a little gray donkey blur. It was the cutest little baby donkey. It made me think that no innocent animal deserves to be the image of the Democrat party. Maybe the Dems could have used a stone as their mascot. Texas vs. The EPA YeeHaw!!
In order to deter challenges to your plan for centralized control of industrial development through the issuance of permits for greenhouse gases, you have called upon each state to declare its allegiance to the Environmental Protection Agency’s recently enacted greenhouse gas regulations–regulations that are plainly contrary to United States law [citations omitted]. To encourage acquiescence with your unsupported findings you threaten to usurp state enforcement authority and to federalize the permitting program of any state that fails to pledge their fealty to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
On behalf of the State of Texas, we write to inform you that Texas has neither the authority nor the intention of interpreting, ignoring, or amending its laws in order to compel the permitting of greenhouse gas emissions."

Red State Livin'

I've posted on the concept of strength before but glad to be livin' in Kentucky today. Heh.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A Kentucky pastor is inviting people to bring their guns to church to celebrate the Fourth of July and the Second Amendment. New Bethel Church is welcoming “responsible handgun owners” to wear their firearms inside the church on June 27, a Saturday. An ad says there will be a handgun raffle, patriotic music and information on gun safety.
