Ashes. Ashes. We All Fall Down.

Freedom of Speech Body Count for October 7th, 2008.

According to the LA Times, that speech yesterday in which McCain spent a goodly
amount of time talking about the economy, well, it never happened. McCain’s afraid to talk about economics. Except that he’s not, because he did. At some length. And it gets better! The article is now gone. But at the same URL is a different story by a different writer. Patterico got screen shots of the original one though. ~Quoted from Rachel Lucas

Meanwhile.
SNL did a skit this weekend about the bailout, which was actually shockingly accurate and fair, including implicating George Soros and Democrats in general. But you can’t watch the video of that skit now because it’s gone, gone from YouTube and Hulu and the NBC video page. Malkin has screenshots and the transcript of the skit, and also a theory: Soros made some phone calls. Also quoted from Rachel Lucas

And, oddly enough, blogger Pat Dollard and his website are having some technical difficulties. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that he was able to get a copy of the original SNL skit posted.

And then there's this.

Jerome Corsi, author of "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality." is arrested in Africa.
A source at Nyayo House, where Dr Corsi was being held, said the author had been detained for references made to Raila Odinga, the Kenyan prime minister, and allegations that his Muslim supporters had engaged in a wave of violence that rocked the country after December’s disputed elections. ~Quoted at The Salon
